The Middle East International Film Festival ran from October 8th to the 17th, 2009. Many American film stars were present to grace the red carpet, network and talk the business of film. One of the questions lurking after the one week long festival is whether the Middle East will be the next big film market, much like Hollywood and Bollywood. AFP reports mixed results but you should also check out CNN’s coverage from last year that seems to imply the Middle East, in terms of film, is a market to watch.
