Kicking off our Star of the Month feature, since our official launch this August, is Sweden’s nineteen (19) year old Ayda Mosharraf.

Ayda is a natural STAR, the type that attracts attention even walking down the street. I’ll share my personal experience with the budding star. I was working on a story while I was in Sweden some years back, a fashion street style story for a magazine. As part of the story, I had to randomly pick out fashionistas to interview. Ayda was one of the fashion conscious persons I interviewed that day! I guess if you are destined to be a star, nothing stops you?

Anyway, I asked Ayda my fashion questions, wrote the story and moved on. We lost contact. By the way, during the interview, there was never any mention about her being a singer much less a very good one. Fast forward to 2009, she gets in contact with me and I find out she is this very talented singer, so talented the folks at iclick2fame.com, a company responsible for launching the careers of unknowns through their online competition, thinks she is one to watch.

Needless to say, we had to feature Ayda on LadybrilleStars. Ayda’s emotionally raw lyrics and powerful vocals connects with the many that hear her sound and is truly refreshing. LADYBRILLEStars.com: Ayda I am so excited about you and your work!
Ayda: Thank you!

LADYBRILLEStars.com:I had no idea you were an amazing singer and wow finding your work on the internet and all. When did you start singing?
Ayda: Well I started out at the age of 8. That is when my parents started to notice that I had an ability to sing, and I’ve basically been singing ever since.

LADYBRILLEStars.com: You also play instruments, don’t you?
Ayda: Yes, I started playing guitar at the age of 16. But I never took any classes, I’m self taught.

LADYBRILLEStars.com: Even more impressive. Who are your musical influences?
Ayda: I can be influenced by anything really. It could be anything from a song to a feeling. A particular mood in a song, or anyone who inspires me. Whether it is someone close to me, someone I’ve just met, or a famous artist.

LADYBRILLEStars.com: You are literally starting on the grass roots level using social media. What has been the response?
Ayda: It has been more than I expected! I’ve had so many people supporting me from my Youtube Channel and thats really what has had me going on still. When I posted my first video I never imagined I’d get any views. Then I had someone promoting me on Youtube, who has a bigger fanbase than me on her channel. Thats how I suddenly had more and more people subscribing to me.

LADYBRILLEStars.com: You competed in iclick2fame.com. What was that experience like?
Ayda: It was great! I got into the quaterfinals, and had a performance in London. I only got to 4th place, but I’m glad I even got that far. It was all thanks to the people who voted for me.

LADYBRILLEStars.com: I know you are Swedish but your parents also hail from Iran?
Ayda: Yes, my father is from Iran, but I’m also half Turkish (My mother is from Turkey)!

LADYBRILLEStars.com: (Very cool!) You are now in England studying Pharmacy, that is so typical of many Iranians I know here in the States. Why not pursue your music passion and study music?
Ayda: I’m actually not studying the Pharmacy program at the moment. I decided to take a year off to work instead and that way I can find more time for my music. I’m planning on taking some music courses to work on myself as an artist, and also start doing gigs in the UK to get myself out there.

LADYBRILLEStars.com: Where do you want to go and what do you think it is going to take to get you there?
Ayda: I want to be recognized around the world as an artist and spread my passion for people. It can take whatever it will, and I’m ready for it.

LADYBRILLEStars.com: Let’s talk about your song. We will start with “Someday”. Who did you work with on that song and what inspired it?
Ayda: I did everything myself – the music, the lyrics, I even made the video myself. Its recorded in my bedroom, with my inbuilt webcam on my iMac. Im actually a bit proud of myself for that ha ha. We all have our stories about the love of our lives, and it was mine that inspired me to write this one.

LADYBRILLEStars.com: Many on the internet love your song “Don’t let Go” share with us what inspired that song.
Ayda: It’s basically about two people who are in love with each other, but that just can’t be together. So they go their separate ways until she meets him again and finds herself back in the fire. Love is a funny thing, you can completely loose yourself to it, although you know its bad for you – you’re still ready for more. “And I can’t remember my name, was trapped once now I’m trapped in You’re flames”. I’m not going to go into much detail about what inspired me, but I assume the lyrics say it all really.

LADYBRILLEStars.com: How do existing and new fans support you?
Ayda: I get a lot of nice messages on Youtube and Myspace from people. It feels really good to know that they are inspired by me and enjoy my music. I’ve been promoted on some people’s websites as well. I also have a facebook group people can join to show their support and get the latest news about gigs and songs.

LADYBRILLEStars.com: You get a little socially conscious on us with the song, “The Price of Prejudice.” I felt like I was listening to a Lauryn Hill track.
Ayda: Cool you noticed! I love Lauryn Hill. I wrote that song the summer of 06, it was one of my first songs. I wanted to write something different, something realistic other than what I usually wrote and was listening a lot to Lauryn Hills MTV unplugged at that time. She is a true inspiration to me and by listening to her I stepped up a level in my writing.

LADYBRILLEStars.com: (Yes I did notice!) Do you write your own songs?
Ayda: Yes, I’ve been writing since I was 16!

LADYBRILLESTARS.com: You heard it here first, we think you will be the NEXT BIG STAR within Sweden and internationally. So, what can we all do to help make that a reality for you?
Ayda: Spread the word! I’ll need all the help I can get. I’m currently looking for someone experienced and professional who can produce a few songs I have and make it into a good demo. If I could recieve sponsors as well, it would be very helpful!

Ayda est une étoile naturelle, le type qui attire l’attention même en marchant dans la rue. Je vais partager mon expérience personnelle avec l’étoile naissante. Je travaillais sur une histoire pendant que j’étais en Suède il ya quelques années, une histoire street fashion style d’un magazine. Dans le cadre de l’histoire, je devais en choisir au hasard des fashionistas à interviewer. Ayda a été l’un des mode conscient des personnes que j’ai interrogées ce jour-là! Je suppose que si vous êtes destiné à être une star, rien ne vous arrête?

Quoi qu’il en soit, j’ai demandé à mes questions Ayda mode, a écrit l’histoire et évolué. Nous avons perdu contact. Soit dit en passant, au cours de l’entrevue, il ne parlait jamais d’elle étant un chanteur encore moins un très bon. Avance rapide jusqu’en 2009, elle entre en contact avec moi et je savoir qu’elle est cette chanteuse de grand talent, tant de talent les gens de chez iclick2fame.com, une société chargée de lancer les carrières d’inconnues grâce à leur concours en ligne, pense qu’elle est d’un à regarder.

LADYBRILLEStars.com: Ayda Je suis tellement excitée de vous et de votre travail!
Ayda: Merci!

LADYBRILLEStars.com: Je n’avais aucune idée que vous étiez un chanteur extraordinaire et wow trouver votre travail sur Internet et de tous. Quand avez-vous commencé à chanter?
Ayda: Eh bien j’ai commencé à l’âge de 8 ans. C’est alors que mes parents ont commencé à remarquer que j’avais une capacité de chanter, et j’ai été fondamentalement chanter depuis.

LADYBRILLEStars.com: Vous jouez également des instruments, pas vous?
Ayda: Oui, j’ai commencé à jouer de la guitare à l’âge de 16 ans. Mais je n’ai jamais pris de cours, je suis autodidacte.

LADYBRILLEStars.com: encore plus impressionnant. Qui sont vos influences musicales?
Ayda: Je peux être influencé par quoi que ce soit vraiment. Il pourrait s’agir aussi bien d’une chanson à un sentiment. Une humeur particulière dans une chanson, ou quelqu’un qui m’inspire. Que ce soit une personne proche de moi, quelqu’un que je viens de rencontrer, ou un artiste célèbre.

LADYBRILLEStars.com: Vous allez démarrer littéralement sur le substrat de base en utilisant les médias sociaux. Quelle a été la réponse?
Ayda: Il a été plus élevée que prévu! J’ai eu tant de gens me soutenir de ma chaîne YouTube et thats vraiment ce qui a dû me passe encore. Lorsque j’ai posté ma première vidéo je n’aurais jamais imaginé quand je rentrais à tout point de vue. Ensuite, j’ai eu quelqu’un promotion de moi sur Youtube, qui a une base de fans plus grand que moi sur son canal. Thats comment j’ai soudainement eu de plus en plus inscrivez-vous à moi.

LADYBRILLEStars.com: Vous avez participé à iclick2fame.com. Quelle était cette expérience?
Ayda: It was great! Je montai dans la quaterfinals, et avait un spectacle à Londres. Je ne suis à la 4ème place, mais je suis content que j’ai même eu jusque-là. Il a été tout grâce aux personnes qui ont voté pour moi.

LADYBRILLEStars.com: Je sais que vous êtes suédois, mais vos parents grêle aussi de l’Iran?
Ayda: Oui, mon père est de l’Iran, mais je suis aussi à moitié turque (Ma mère est originaire de Turquie)!

LADYBRILLEStars.com: (Très cool!) Vous êtes maintenant en Angleterre, étudiant en pharmacie, qui est si typique de beaucoup d’Iraniens je connais ici dans les États. Pourquoi ne pas poursuivre votre passion de la musique et la musique d’étude?
Ayda: Je suis en fait de ne pas étudier le programme de pharmacie à l’instant. J’ai décidé de prendre une année sabbatique pour travailler au lieu et de cette façon je peux trouver plus de temps pour ma musique. J’ai l’intention de prendre quelques cours de musique à travailler sur moi en tant qu’artiste, et aussi commencer à faire des concerts au Royaume Uni à me retrouver là-bas.

LADYBRILLEStars.com: Où souhaitez-vous aller et que pensez-vous qu’il va prendre pour vous y arriver?
Ayda: Je veux être reconnu dans le monde entier en tant qu’artiste et répandre ma passion pour les gens. Il peut prendre tout ce qu’il fera, et je suis prêt pour cela.

Parler LADYBRILLEStars.com: Parlons de votre morceau. Nous allons commencer avec “Someday”. Qui avez-vous travaillé sur cette chanson et ce qu’il a inspiré?
Ayda: je faisais tout moi-même – la musique, les paroles, j’ai même mis la vidéo moi-même. Son enregistré dans ma chambre, avec ma webcam intégré sur mon iMac. En fait un peu fière de moi pour ce ha ha Im. Nous avons tous nos histoires sur l’amour de nos vies, et il était à moi qui m’a inspiré pour écrire celui-ci.

LADYBRILLEStars.com: Beaucoup sur Internet love your song “Don’t Let Go” partager avec nous ce qui a inspiré cette chanson.
Ayda: Il est constitué de deux personnes qui s’aiment les uns avec les autres, mais qui ne peuvent simplement pas être ensemble. Alors, ils vont chacun leur chemin jusqu’à ce qu’elle le croise à nouveau et se retrouve en arrière dans le feu. L’amour est une drôle de chose, vous pouvez vous détendre au son, quoique tu sais que c’est mauvais pour vous – vous êtes toujours prêts pour d’autres. «Et je ne me souviens pas mon nom, a été piégé une fois maintenant je suis coincé dans You’re flammes.” Je ne vais pas aller trop dans les détails sur ce qui m’a inspiré, mais je suppose que les paroles tout dire vraiment.

LADYBRILLEStars.com: Comment les fans actuels et nouveaux pris en charge?
Ayda: Je reçois beaucoup de messages de Nice sur Youtube et Myspace des gens. Ça fait du bien de savoir qu’ils sont inspirés par moi et profiter de ma musique. J’ai été promu sur des sites Web de certaines personnes aussi. J’ai également un groupe de gens peuvent se joindre à Facebook pour montrer leur soutien et obtenir les dernières nouvelles de concerts et de chansons.

LADYBRILLEStars.com: Vous obtenez un peu une conscience sociale sur nous avec la chanson, «The Price of Prejudice.” Je me sentais comme si je l’écoute d’un titre Lauryn Hill.
Ayda: Cool, vous remarquer! J’taime Lauryn Hill. J’ai écrit cette chanson de l’été 06, il était un de mes premières chansons. Je voulais écrire quelque chose de différent, quelque chose de réaliste autre que ce que j’ai l’habitude et a été écrit en écoutant beaucoup de choses à Lauryn Hills MTV Unplugged à cette époque. Elle est une véritable inspiration pour moi et en l’écoutant je m’approchai d’un niveau dans mon écriture.

LADYBRILLEStars.com: (Oui je n’ai pas remarqué!) Ce que vous écrivez vos propres chansons?
Ayda: Oui, j’ai écrit depuis l’âge de 16 ans!

LADYBRILLESTARS.com: Vous l’avez entendu ici en premier, nous pensons que vous serez le NEXT BIG STAR intérieur de la Suède et international. Alors, que pouvons-nous tous faire pour aider à en faire une réalité pour vous?
Ayda: Passez le mot! J’ai besoin de toute l’aide que je peux obtenir. Je suis à la recherche d’une personne expérimentée et professionnelle qui peuvent produire quelques chansons que j’ai et en faire une bonne démo. Si je pouvais recevoir commanditaires ainsi, il serait très utile!
