Have you ever experienced or watched body painting in action? It is probably one of the most intriguing and artistic experience ever. Highly skilled artists using the human body as their canvas create the most exquisite of artworks you’ll ever see. In many instances, body painting artists are misunderstood and not celebrated as much in mainstream artworld. Not so at the the World Body Painting Festival (WBF), the biggest and most important body painting festival in the world dedicated to celebrating all things body painting.

The 2009 WBF festival ran from July 13th to 19th and was held on the lake Millstättersee in a small Austrian town of Seeboden. It attracted over 26,000 artists and fans from 40 countries who combined dance, drama, painting and photography to create boundary breaking art.
