Sarah Geronimo is probably Phillipines #1 teen pop star with over 60awards and recognition under her belt. Sarah was born into a working class family, her father worked as a PLDT lineman while her mother managed a hair salon. At two (2) Sarah was already showing an interest in music. By four (4) years old, mom and dad became even more convinced Sarah was destined for a life in music. She seemed to shun her dolls for the microphone.

At age six (6), she entered her first music competition where she won first prize for her performance of “Greatest Performance of My Life.” Sarah entered even more competitions and won even more first-place prizes. Her family, however, could no longer sustain her music interest and competitions with their meager salaries. In fact, at a certain point, the financial debt of the family was overwhelming and they stood a chance of losing their home. During this time, Sarah decided to participate in a competition with a grand prize of 1million pesos for a chance to win so she could help her family.

For the competition, Sarah sang, Celine Dion’s song “To Love You More,” and was the winner of the grand prize of 1 million pesos and an exclusive 10-year contract with Viva Entertainment Group. Needless to say, the 1 million dollar helped the family a great deal. It also sparked an interest in Sarah to make singing a fulltime career.

In 2003 she debuted her first album, “Popstar: A Dream Come True.” It was a 7 times platinum. She follwed up in 2004 with “Sweet Sixteen” which was a certified 3 times platinum. In 2006, she released her highly anticipated international album “Becoming.” “Becoming” reached platinum record a month after its release. Sarah followed up with amother album release in 2007 “Taking Flight” (2 times platinum) and two albums in 2008 “Just Me” and “OPM” (2008).

Sarah has also been quite busy with TV deals, product endorsements, tv, radio, print and billboards.
