Ragheb Alama is a Lebanese musician who began singing at early age. Ragheb sang at school singing activities and at age eight(8) even sang on live radio! While he would indeed go on to become a professional musician, his real break through came when Raghebwas the first among Arab Stars to debut his music video “Albi Eshiqha” in 1991.
With over twenty years and over fifteen albums later, Ragheb this past April 2009, for the first time in the Arab world, received the platinum award from Virgin Megastore in Dubai for the highest sales of albums.
Ragheb has also won numerous awards including: Platinum disc for his album Albi A’she’aha, Egypt’s Oscar for Video Clip “Alamtini” and 1998 Best Arabic Male Singer at the Arabian World Gold Lion Award event.
